Growing By Leaps & Bounds

It seems like yesterday that I first had the boys, but on Sunday they turned 18 months old! They are growing up quickly. At Jasons last doctor visit he was a little over 24 pounds and Reece was just hitting 18 pounds. They are into everything now! Here is a little recap of both boys just to get you caught up on some of their current  likes & dislikes
  • Jason can open all the doors in the house.
  • Reece has finally mastered the stairs in the house and the boys literally race up and down them!
  • They both aren't really talking. I get an occasional byebye and hi out of Reece and I swear he says bubba, Jason, Dada and Papa but it's talk only a mother would understand.
  • They eat every and anything just about. They love goldfish, yogurt, icecream, potatoes and broccoli. Reece really likes any and all seafood while Jason seems to enjoy red meats.
  • We are sleeping through the night which is nothing new. Boys go to bed about 6:30 and sleep till at least 7 the next morning. Reece usually talks himself to sleep for a good hour before he crashes.
  • We are still on bottles and trying to pull away. They only get them at nap time and night night time.
  • Favorite toys include; trucks, cars, tractors (anything with wheels) and balls (anything ok to throw)
  • Jason sleeps best with his night night blanket.
  • Both boys are currently teething all 4 molars...nightmare at times!
I am going to try my best to start blogging again. I can promise daily updates like I use to, but I am certainly going to shoot for a few updates a week. Now that I am not at home with the boys daily I don't do too great of a job taking 82 billion pictures a week like I use to.

Working life is still fun. I enjoy teaching, but it is stressful at times when trying to plan with the boys too. Life has changed a lot since August. In October Ryan and I split up due to some conflicts. Currently, the boys live with me and we do not have any custody arrangements worked out yet. My Mom still keeps the boys during the week which is still and always will be a blessing! For the time being I am trying to enjoy life and make the most of it. At times I get overloaded and sometimes I want to runaway and just have some time alone which is hard to come by with two little sweet monsters. All in all though I am happier now than I have been in a long time.

As for the boys, luckily they are still so young that they really don't understand whats going on. They do however get excited when Ryan comes to visit or to pick them up. I am certain that all things work out in the end and this will be another one of those situations that I will look back on and be thankful that its gone the way it has. Here are a few snapshots I got of my big and little monster today after they got into the cabinets. I swear I pick up cups, plates, bowls and bottles that they drag out of the cabinets 52 billion times a day!

Here's the story behind these pictures...Jason took out the bottle cleaner & bucket from under the cabinet and started sharing it with Reece. Jason then decided he wanted the bucket and took it from Reece. Jason started playing with the bucket by himself and Reece got sad and threw himself on the floor because he didn't have the bucket too so then Mom put both away and then they were both mad! Mean Momma, I know.
